John Lyle Protsman, 89, of Moweaqua passed away April 12, 2013 in Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center, Moweaqua.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at 11:30 am Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Locust Grove Church, in rural Moweaqua. Friends are welcome to come by the home of John and Mildred, anytime Monday or after services on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
John was born January 6, 1924 in rural Moweaqua the son of Lawrence and Bess (Weekly) Protsman. He married Mildred Moon April 24, 1946. They had one daughter, Patsy. John was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife Mildred of Moweaqua; daughter Pat (Hal) Lamb of Pana; grandchildren Shelley (Byron) Jackson of Columbia, SC, Carrie (Ron) Phillips of Shelbyville, IL, Dawn Lamb of Moweaqua and Chad Lamb (Kelly) of Moweaqua; eleven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are parents; brother Maurice Protsman; sisters Dorothy Korte, Virginia Zindel, Elizabeth "Betty" Keilman, Grace Miller and Helen Jordan.
