John R. Jermaine, 72, of Springfield, IL, died September 30, 2023 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Greenwood Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

John was born on February 8, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, the son of John and Mary Claire (Lovering) Jermaine.  He married Cathleen Rhodes on December 7, 1974 in Assumption, IL.  She survives.

John formerly worked for Baughman-Oster and Walmart in Taylorville, IL as well as Lowes in Springfield, IL.  He enjoyed writing, playing cards, and loved rummage sales.

Surviving is his wife, Cathleen; son, Michael Jermaine, of Taylorville, IL; and daughters: Katie Jermaine of Assumption, IL and Glenda (Kevin) Huss of Taylorville, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents and son, John.
