Jean Bantner, 94, of Assumption died November 7, 2015, in Heritage Manor, Pana, IL.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time, also in the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Mary's Altar Society.

Jean was born March 23, 1921 in Assumption, IL., the daughter of Gus and Edna (Pierce) Behl. She married Carlyle J. Bantner November 21, 1939 in Assumption. He preceded her in death May 31, 1987.

Jean was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption, St. Mary's Altar Society and VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children: Robert (Deanna) Bantner of Assumption, Kay (Ronald) Clutter of Assumption, Connie (Roy) Harrold of Clinton, IL and son-in-law, Carl Puckett of Assumption; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, daughter Carolyn Puckett and granddaughter Casey Williams.
