Jay Douglas "Doug" Swift, 52, of Assumption died July 22, 2015, in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm Friday, July 24, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Private funeral services at a later date.
Doug was born September 24, 1962 in Springfield, IL the son of Tony and Alyce (Antle) Swift. He married Tina Davis February 10, 1990 in Stonington, IL. She survives.
Doug was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church, Historical Railroad Society of Chatham, IL and GM & O Historical Society. He was a truck driver for Mizeur Trucking.
Surviving is his wife, Tina; daughters: Rhiannon (Jared) Shewmaker of Stonington, IL and Alyson (Chris) Schehl of Florissant, Mo; grandchildren: Sean and Arianna Schehl: father, Tony (Sharon) Swift of Kilgore, TX: mother, Alyce (Guy) Beggs of Springfield, IL; brother, William Swift of Virden, IL; sister, Rachel (Dave) Harmon of Thayer, IL and his beloved cats: Precious, Martin, Chessie, Chester and Charlie.
