James Nelson Shields, 66, of Decatur died July 14, 2014, in his home.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
James was born October 22, 1947 in Effingham, IL, the son of Glen and Maxine (Leonard) Shields.
James was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God. He formerly worked for A-1 Painting of Decatur.
Surviving are his sisters: Judi (Gary) Gelsinger of Campbell, MO, Jeanne (Bob) Stokes of Decatur, IL and Sue (Roger) Ater of Moweaqua, IL.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
