James Michael "Mike" Cornwell, 64, of Assumption, died June 7, 2024 in his home.

Per Mike's wishes, there will be no funeral services, a visitation will be held in Seitz Funeral Home on Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Memorials may be made to The Family of Mike Cornwell.

Mike was born on August 13, 1959 in Pekin, IL, the son of Kenneth J. and Linda (Bitner) Cornwell.  He married Debbie Troxell on May 4, 1979 in Colorado Springs, CO.  She survives.

Mike loved his family and all their adventures together.  He loved fishing and family BBQ's.  His pride and joy was his Ford pick-up.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie; daughters: Felicia (Micah) Wood of Moweaqua, IL and Brittney (Christopher) Noreuil of Edinburg, IL; son, Dustin (Bradi) Cornwell of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Dylan, Caleb, Mason, Anikah, Riley, Peyton, and expecting additions; brothers: Gary Cornwell of Pekin, IL and Russel (Cindy) Cornwell of Pekin, IL; and sisters: Jody and Troy of East Peoria, IL and Julie (Jessie) Hollis of Pekin, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Kenneth; sister, Tammie; three nephews; and father-in-law, Bud Troxell.
