James E. "Jim" Giles, 67, of Moweaqua, died December 17, 2021, in his home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., prior to service time.  Please wear casual attire.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moweaqua Park District.  Burial will be in Woodlawn (Oddfellows) Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Jim was born on June 17, 1954 in Decatur, IL, the son of E. Glenn and Eleanor (Workman) Giles.  He married Sherry Duncan on May 5, 1975 in Moweaqua.  She survives.

Jim was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua and a former board member of the Moweaqua Golf Course.  He was an avid golfer, bowler and Illini fan.  The joy of Jim's life was watching his six grandkids perform in their various activities.

Surviving is his wife, Sherry; sons: Jay (Amy Jo) Giles of Illiopolis, IL and Zeth Giles of Maroa, IL; grandchildren: Griffin, Zayn, Bianca, Ace, Vincent James and Knox; brother, Don Giles of Moweaqua, IL; and sisters: Kathleen Giles of Decatur, IL and Ellen (Kevin) Gibson of Moweaqua, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents and daughter, Shanta.
