James W. "Jim" Coffman, 67 of Moweaqua, died April 23, 2015 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, also in Seitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Moweaqua Ambulance Service or Central A&M FFA.

Jim was born in Bloomington, IL August 15, 1947, the son of Virgel and Emma Frances (Spencer) Coffman. He lived in Heyworth, IL until the age of four when his family moved to Moweaqua. He married Linda Usinger December 9, 1967 in Blue Mound, IL. She survives.

Jim was a member of First Baptist Church of Moweaqua. He graduated from Moweaqua High School in 1966. Jim served on the Board of Directors for the Moweaqua Farmers Co-op and Shelby County Farm Bureau. Jim dearly loved his family, and lived to farm. He was a lifelong farmer, he began farming with his father in 1970. Jim was a fan of athletics, especially basketball, where he was often found on the front row, mid court. He shared his knowledge and enthusiasm for basketball by coaching 5th & 6th grade basketball for 20 years.

Surviving is his wife Linda; children: Debbie (Mike) Camac of Moweaqua, Bryon (Laurie) Coffman of Moweaqua and Brad (Andrea) Coffman of Stonington; grandchildren: Calista Camac, Jason Camac, Lauren Chadick and Nate Coffman; sister, Lola Jean (Ron) Stedman of Moweaqua; brother, Joe (Julie) Coffman of Moweaqua; brother-in-laws: Chris Usinger and Dale Usinger; sister-in-law Gale Elder and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brother, Jerry Coffman and in-laws, Wayne & Nelda Usinger.
