Jackie W. Phillips, Sr., 83, of Moweaqua, died July 30, 2023, in his home, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with a one-hour visitation prior to service time. Private burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to Moweaqua Fireman's Club.

Jackie was born October 16, 1939 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of John Phillips and Audrey L. Gregory.  He married Shirley Jean Phillips on November 16, 1963 in Harristown, IL.

Jackie retired after 34 years at Mueller Co. where he worked as a millwright. Prior to his work at Mueller Co., he worked for W. Wooters farms.

Surviving are his sons, Jackie (Tracy) Phillips, Jr. of Moweaqua, IL, Rodney Phillips of Moweaqua, IL; grandchildren: Jackie Marie (Chris Baker) Phillips of Port Charlotte, FL, Lakenzie Phillips of Savoy, IL; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Koby, and Kaisely; sisters: Doris Jones of Cherokee Village, AR, Paula Jones of Cherokee Village, AR, Phyllis Thompson of Clarksville, IN; and special friends Larry and Kerry Denton.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Shirley; and his parents.
