DATELINE: MOWEAQUA

Jack L. Dial, 83, of Moweaqua passed away 7:00 a.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Mason Point Nursing Home , Sullivan, IL., with his wife Beverly at his bedside.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with Pastor Lloyd Johnson and Ryan Baker officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Adams – Gorden Cemetery, rural Moweaqua.

Full Military Honors by Moweaqua American Legion Post #370.

Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Foundation or Moweaqua Ambulance Service.

Jack was born November 5, 1929 in rural Moweaqua, the son of Floyd and Evelyn (Rodman) Dial. He graduated class of 1947 of Moweaqua High School. He then enlisted in the Air Force in January 2, 1950 and served his country until his honorable discharge October of 1954. Jack married Mildred Adams April 15, 1950. She died August 24, 1999. He married Beverly Ruth Enlow July 15, 2005.

Jack was a member of the First Christian Church of Moweaqua. He had a strong work ethic and held various positions throughout the years. One he was very proud of, was Prairieton Township Clerk, he served from 1963 to 2013. A position his father, Floyd Dial, held previously.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Dial, son Paul (Penny) Dial of Moweaqua, IL., daughter Sally Chrostowski of Assumption, IL., step-son Richard (Lynnell) Enlow of Maroa, IL., brothers; Jim (Nadine) Dial of Moweaqua, Bill (Jill) Dial of Geneseo, IL, sisters; Mary Katherine Hudson of Tower Hill, IL and Gloria Jean (Denny) Durbin of Decatur, IL, grandchildren; Michael (Kelly) Dial, Andrew (Shawntay) Dial of Decatur, Amanda (Derrick) Perkins of Mt. Zion, IL. and Monica Sloan of Hinesville, GA, four great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
