J. Alice
Dickerson
Nov 15, 1931 — Oct 9, 2021
J. Alice Dickerson, 89, died October 9th, 2021 peacefully at home in Oregon where she lived with her daughter.
Alice was born on November 15th, 1931 in Judith Gap, Montana, the daughter of Clyde and Agnus (McRae) Lea. Alice was the youngest of five children. In the early 1950's, while serving in the United States Air Force, Alice met Robert E. Dickerson. They were married October 2, 1953. They had four children: Robert E. Dickerson, Jr. of Billings, MT; Kim (Scott) Inman of Grants Pass, OR; Randy (Jennie) Dickerson of Arthur, IL and Tony L. Dickerson.
As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Alice is survived by her daughter, Kim; sons, Robert and Randy; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Lucille Pyatt and Linda Webb of Moweaqua; and many nieces and nephews. Alice strived to provide a home where people felt welcomed. If you knew Alice, her loves included her family, her flowers, hummingbirds, helping others, cooking/baking, sewing, reading, and most importantly Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Moweaqua, IL.
Later in life Alice enjoyed traveling and seeing the wonders that God put on this earth. But her heart always belonged to that little cabin nestled in the hills of Montana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her son, Tony, her father and mother; three brothers; one sister; father-in-law, Harry Dickerson; mother-in-law, Edna Dickerson; and sisters-in-law, Betty Minott and Dubby Moore.
