DATELINE: ASSUMPTION

Irene Fringer, 100, of Assumption, went to live with her savior February 27, 2014.

Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in First United Methodist Church, Assumption, with Pastor David Beerbower and Pastor Tom Compton officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, east of Assumption.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Assumption.

Irene was born February 7, 1914 to Harry and Clara (Warren) Barringer of Tower Hill, IL. She was a full-time mom all her life. She loved to cook and bake pies and tend to her flowers. She married Ernest Fringer on February 7, 1934. He preceded her in death March 21,1988.

Surviving are her children, sons, Morris (Lena) Fringer of Assumption, IL, Bert (Joyce) Fringer of Sidney, IL, Dennis Fringer of Argenta, IL.,; daughter Donna Greenwood of Scottsdale, AZ, her full-time caregiver the past 4 years; and daughter-in-law, Gracie Fringer of Branson, MO. She leaves 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death are her husband, son Max Fringer, son-in-law Dale Greenwood, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
