Herman A. Dorr, 94, of Owaneco, IL died March 17, 2017 in his home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Herman was born February 1, 1923, in Owaneco, IL, the son of Lester C. and Ruth (Rhoades) Dorr. He married Margaret Orange, in Taylorville, December 24, 1944. She preceded him in death November 16, 2016.

Surviving are his sons, Roger (Karen) Dorr and Paul (Kelly) Dorr, all of Owaneco; daughter, Brenda (Vince) Weimann of Taylorville; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Herman was a lifelong farmer and resident of the Owaneco area. He enjoyed reading, playing cards & games and liked to tinker.

Preceding him in death are his parents, three brothers, two sisters and son, Terry Dorr.
