Helen Gladys Trueblood, 90, of Decatur, formerly of Moweaqua, passed away at 8:00 a.m. March 22, 2019 at Mason Point, Sullivan, IL
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
Helen was born June 16, 1928 in Assumption, IL the daughter of Clarence Thorton and Olive Mae (O'Daffer) Jones. She married Richard J. Trueblood December 27, 1948 in Shelbyville, IL. He preceded her in death August 15, 1999.
Surviving is her daughter, Susan (Jack) Prasun of Moweaqua; sons: Sandy (Debbie) Trueblood of Forsyth, IL, Lonnie (Peg) Trueblood of Decatur, IL, Dale (Marlene) Trueblood of Riverton, IL and Dan (JoAnn) Trueblood of Niantic, IL; grandchildren: Michael Prasun, Shawn Prasun, Alisha Trueblood, Tabian Trueblood, Matthew Trueblood, Kelly West, Joshua Bushnell and Trisha Morehead; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, one grandson, four brothers, five sisters and significant other, Bill Ewhal.
Helen loved cooking for her family, gardening, sewing and crocheting. She played the guitar and sang with her sister on the Pana Radio Station. Helen ran her own restaurant, Macon's Country Kitchen. She will be missed by us all.
