Glenn Richard "Dick" Royer, 74, of Assumption, died February 16, 2021 in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln, IL.

Graveside services, with full military honors by the Assumption Honor Guard, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dick was born on November 27, 1946 in Pana, IL, the son of Glenn Ray and Elizabeth (Dressen) Royer.  He married Donna Lewellyn on May 11, 1968 in Decatur, IL.  She survives.

Dick was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Optimist Club of Assumption. He proudly served in the United States Army. Dick worked for GSI Group, LLC for thirty-eight years and served as a volunteer fireman for twenty-five years.  He was an avid golfer and played in the Lake Shore Golf League.  Dick also enjoyed softball, playing for CC Hog Market for many years.

Surviving is his wife, Donna; daughters: Rhonda Tyler of Decatur, IL, Andrea Royer of Assumption, IL and Robin (Frank) Luna of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Braden Patton, Colby Royer, Emma Jack, Shelby Dailey, Colton Patton, Ty Etherton, Madison Rickey and Tanner Etherton; great-grandchild, Emerson Voiles; and sisters: Susie (Len) Corzine, Luann Kroll,  all of Assumption, IL and Marillen Royer of Florida.

Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Thomas.
