Gladys E. Manuel, 89, of Assumption died November 29, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, IL.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Care of Decatur, Assumption EMT's, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church of Decatur and Homeward Bound of Decatur.

Gladys was born February 15, 1924 in Blue Mound, IL the daughter of George and Susan Bessie (Disponet) Moore. She married George W. Manuel in St. Charles, MO. November 22, 1940. He preceded her in death December 1, 2000.

Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church of Decatur. She formerly worked in housekeeping for Lake Lawn Motel in Pana, IL and Heritage Manor, also of Pana.

Surviving are her sister Joan Wemple, of Assumption, IL; nieces: Betty Park of Assumption, IL, Rita Wempen of Hammond, IL and Donna (Chuck) Hunter of Decatur, IL.; nephews: Ronnie Moore of Assumption, IL and Donnie (Jenni) Moore, also of Assumption; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and brothers Chuck Moore and Kenneth Moore.
