Gerald E. Ringo, 89 of Moweaqua died May 1, 2014 in Gainesville, FL.

Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am, until service time, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Gerald was born October 29, 1924 in Findlay, IL, the son of Tracy E. and Edith (Carroll) Ringo.  He married Norma McLain May 31, 1945 in Moweaqua.  She survives.

Gerald was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua.  He served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a heavy equipment machinist.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and carpentry.

Surviving are his wife Norma; son, Gary (Charlene) Ringo of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Scott (Melissa) Ringo and Tonya Ringo; great-grandchildren, Andrew Cona, Skyla and Tristan Ringo; brother, Wilford Ringo of Hawthorne, NV; sisters, Bernice Walters of Boynton Beach, FL and Eloyce O'Neal of Hayworth, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Tracy Ringo Jr. and sister Thelma Wickenhauser.
