Fern Louise Brummett, 91, of Moweaqua, died August 18, 2014 in St. Mary's Hospital, Centralia, IL.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stongington, IL.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Moweaqua or Zion Hill Baptist Church of Centralia.
Fern was born August 1, 1923 in Moweaqua, the daughter of James Finley and Myrtle May (Bolds) Lockwood. She married Paul Eugene Brummett June 13, 1943 in Pana, IL. He preceded her death in November 1, 2003.
Fern was a life time member of First Baptist Church of Moweaqua and a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons Richard Brummett of Decatur, IL and Roger (Diedre) Brummett of Salem, IL; grandchildren: Tony Brummett of St. Louis,MO, Andy Brummett of Decatur, IL, Abby Brummett of Edwardsville, IL and Jerod Brummett of Charlseton, IL; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Katharyn, Kristopher Brummett of Decatur, IL, Samantha and Sara Brummett of St. Louis, MO and Ayden Donsbach of Edwardsville; also several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her husband, infant daughter Mary Ann Brummett in 1957, parents, daughter-in-law Mary Alice Brummett, brothers: Roy, Mural, James, Lyle, and Melvin; sisters Lois, Viola, Eloise and Bernice.
