Essa J. Campbell, 92, of Assumption, died March 13, 2024 in Moweaqua Rehabilitation & Health Care.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to ACPA (Assumption Community Pride Association) or Assumption Public Library District, c/o Seitz Funeral Home, 118 E. Main St., Moweaqua, IL 62550.

Essa was born on September 1, 1931 in Cowden, IL, the daughter of Loy and Ethel (Hunter) Patterson.  She married Roy Gene Campbell on September 22, 1949 in Assumption, IL.  He preceded her in death on April 8, 1999.

Essa was a homemaker and affiliated with Mt. Pleasant Church of Assumption.

Surviving are her daughter, Vanessa (Michael) Corzine of Assumption, IL; and grandchildren: Abby (Todd Toberman) Corzine of Assumption, IL and Andrew (Stacey) Corzine of Moweaqua, IL; and great-grandchildren: Elijah, Emmett, Grady, and Noah.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and brother, James Patterson.
