Eldean Thrasher, 88, of Moweaqua, died January 15, 2023 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, also in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Moweaqua.  Memorials may be made to Central A&M Football Program or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Eldean was born on May 31, 1934 in Cumberland County, KY, the daughter of Jesse and Eula (Nation) Vincent.  She married James Russell Thrasher on December 1, 1950 in Jamestown, TN.  He preceded her in death on October 16, 2009.

Eldean was affiliated with First Baptist Church of Moweaqua.  She loved Friday night football games, sewing, bowling, and was a mother to so many.

Surviving are her sons: Greg (Ruth) Thrasher of Moweaqua, IL, Keith (Beth) Thrasher of Moweaqua, IL, Mark (Teresa) Thrasher of Sullivan, IL, Mike (Tammy) Thrasher of Osage Beach, MO, and Tim (Tracy) Thrasher of Jacksonville, IL; daughters: Connie Schloz of Moweaqua, IL and Carolyn (Rick) Burbes, of Decatur, IL; daughter-in-law, Jana Thrasher of Decatur, IL; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; brother, Willie (Kay) Vincent of Moweaqua, IL; and sister, Regina Adams of Pleasureville, KY.

Preceding her in death are her husband; parents; sisters: Alphalene and Sue; son, David; and son-in-law, Chris.
