Edith Mae Rever, 77, of Assumption, died December 3, 2017 in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana, IL.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption, IL. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, IL. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Alzheimer's Association.

Edith was born January 29, 1940 in Brownstown, IL, the daughter of Cloyce and Ruth (Baughman) Gatewood. She married James Walters, he preceded her in death. She later married Thomas E. Rever February 14, 1992 in Assumption, IL. He preceded her in death February 9, 2015.

Edith was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society. She was retired as a cook from Kemmerer Village.

Surviving are her daughters: Monica (Dennis) Christian of Tower Hill, IL, Marla (Shawn) Stover of Arizona, Susan Brown of Tennessee, and Gina Walters of Humboldt, IL; seven grandchildren: two great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Gatewood of Kentucky and cousin, Kay Estes of Pana, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husbands, parents, one brother and one sister.
