Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Memorials may be made to AAMP for Autism or VisionWay Christian School of Taylorville.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.

Wayne was born August 29, 1925 in Assumption, the son of Samuel and Ramona (Baker) Wemple.  He married Joan Caldwell February 28, 1948 in Moweaqua.  She survives.

Wayne was a member of Pana Christian Church, Nokomis Masonic Lodge #456; serving for 45 years, Oconee Lions Club, Nokomis Trail Riders and Audobon Township ATA. He was a farmer and proudly served in the United States Navy.

Surviving is his wife, Joan; sons: Gary (Nancy) Wemple of Hillsboro, IL and Don (Liz) Wemple of Nokomis, IL; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and sisters: Maxine Royer of Taylorville, IL and Ruth Rhoades of Assumption, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Clifford Wemple; sister, Pauline Throneburg; grandson, Aric Wemple and great-granddaughter, Sidney Theresa Wemple.
