E. Marguerite Jackson, 89, of Assumption, died February 6, 2025, in Pana Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.  Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2025, also in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to Assumption Historical Society or Assumption Public Library District.

Marguerite was born on November 1, 1935 in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Emmet and Gertrude (Campbell) Heiter.  She married Joseph D. Jackson on August 12, 1955 in Assumption, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 1, 1986.

Marguerite was a member of Assumption Christian Church and the Assumption Optimist Club.  She was a founding member of the Assumption Historical Society and served as a Cub Scout den mother.  Marguerite was formerly a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital Taylorville IL and at Pana Community Hospital.

Surviving are her sons: Randall (Marianne) Jackson of Rochester, IL, Michael Jackson of Assumption, IL, and Thomas (Theresa) Jackson of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren; and sister, Bertha Ilene Wise of Golconda, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, a brother; and three sisters.
