Dwight E. Eskew, 92, of Moweaqua, died October 3, 2015 in his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to service time in Seitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua, with Full Military Honors by American Legion Post #370. Memorials may be made to Macon United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.


Dwight was born July 29, 1923 in Bethany, IL, the son of William E. and Charlotte F. (Hancock) Eskew. He married Betty Christie June 5, 1943 in Cheyenne, WY. She preceded him in death July 30, 1990. He later married Juanita Sue Taque Logan March 7, 1992. She preceded him in death June 19, 2007.

Dwight was a member of Macon United Methodist Church, Macon County Farm Bureau and Moweaqua American Legion Post #370. He was the former owner of Eskew Auto Body of Moweaqua, currently Moweaqua Paint & Body. Dwight proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.

Surviving are his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; including his special grandson Eric E. (Lisa) Eskew and great-grandson Nathaniel of Moweaqua.

The family would like to thank the Buggar family, home care assistants Kathryn & Debra and special friend Carolyn Downs for the care and kindness Dwight received.

Preceding him in death are his parents, two wives, two sons and one sister.
