Dr. Duane Trueblood, DVM, 48, of Moweaqua, IL passed away June 16, 2016, in his home after a long hard battle.

Visitation will be from 5: 00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, IL, no services. Per Duane's request, please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA or Best Friends Animal Rescue.

Duane was born June 24, 1967 in Decatur, IL the son of Elmer and Sharon (Neeley) Trueblood. He graduated from Moweaqua High School in 1985, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Eastern Illinois University in 1989 and then graduated Cum Laude from University of Illinois, Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He practiced Veterinary Medicine in Decatur, IL and Ft. Lauderdale, FL until 2009.

Duane enjoyed gardening and his animals.

Surviving are his parents, Elmer and Sharon Trueblood of Moweaqua; sisters: Anita (Jerry) Clark of Moweaqua and Beckie Ramsey of Fenton, MO; brother, Danny (Rebecca) Trueblood of Moweaqua; 5 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 grandnieces, 5 grandnephews, non-biological brother, Ken Foster of Chicago, IL, many aunts, uncles, cousins, his dog Ally and many special friends from Ft. Lauderdale and Chicago.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, a cousin, an uncle and 2 beloved dogs, Pansy and Boo.
