Dorothy G. Brix, 97, of Assumption, died May 2, 2016 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be from 5:00– 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville, IL.

Dorothy was born August 31, 1918 in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Leslie and Essie (Cazalet) Corzine. She married Hugo E. Brix February 2, 1944 in Assumption. He preceded her in death December 20, 2005. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylorville, IL.

Surviving are her sons: John (Sandra) Brix of Shelbyville, IL and Dale (Marilyn) Brix of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Angie Brix of Champaign, IL, Jennifer (Todd) Maxfield of Tuscola, IL, Jim (Attalee) Brix of Logan, IA and Katherine (Joe) Rutherford of Tolono, IL; great-grandchildren: Grant, Ella, Grady, Will and Gwen.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
