Doris L. Virden, 86, of Charleston ,IL, died July 15, 2022, surrounded by her sister, Patricia Virden, sister- in-law, Cathy Virden, and nieces, Jennifer Stucka and Gabrielle Tasco, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Charleston.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Bethany Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.

Doris was born on October 11, 1935 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Glen and Flossie (Speagle) Virden.   She was a 1954 graduate of Moweaqua High School and retired from First National Bank of Decatur. Doris was a member of Assembly of God Church of Decatur and Charleston, IL.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy, quilting and arts & crafts.  Doris loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving are her sister, Patricia Virden of Charleston, IL; sister-in-law, Cathy Virden of Charleston, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents and brothers, Charles and Donald Virden.
