Donald James Conyers, 94, of Assumption, died January 20, 2024 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.

Donald was born on October 19, 1929 in Burbank, CA, the son of Preston and Grace Freida (Ore) Conyers. He married Charlotte Irelan in November of 1955 in Tijuana, Mexico. She preceded him in death on February 11, 2011.

Donald worked as a supervisor for 35 years at Lockheed Martin in Burbank, CA. He had a passion for racing and building cars, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his daughter Denise Ann (Rodger) Latta of Broken Arrow, OK and step-son Stephen Powell of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents, two step-daughters: Sandy Jean Powell and Sharon Powell, two brothers and two sisters.
