Donald R. Barry, 84, of Assumption, died March 4, 2020, in his home.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption, IL.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial, with full military honors, will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Don was born August 26, 1935 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Russel and Mary Barry.  He married Patricia McLeod February 14, 2003 in Assumption, IL.  She survives.

Don was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Assumption and Assumption VFW Tacusah Post #6577.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Don worked as a crane operator for International Union of Operating Engineers and was the owner of Central Battery in Chicago, IL.  Don loved his cars and was an avid fan of NASCAR, Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia; step-children: Rick (Angela) Mills of Cedar Hill, TX, Jodi Mills of Homer Glen, IL, Jamie Mills of Willowbrook, IL, James (Lindsay) Ashley and Debbie (Darin) Damery all of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Max, Beau, Blake, Emma, Jack, Ava, Morgan, Jayne, Drew, Logan and Emmett;  sister, Janet McCoy and niece, Trina McCoy both of Taylorville, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents, children, Tim and Tammy, two brothers, one sister and step-granddaughter, Riley.
