Dennis W. Fringer, 62, of Assumption died March 23, 2015 at 4:15 p.m., in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, with Military Rites by the Assumption Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Dennis was born November 28, 1952 in Decatur, IL the son of Ernest and Irene (Barringer) Fringer. He was formerly married to Becky (Ohl) Fringer.
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, as well as, the Sharpshooter M16 award. He previously worked for Caterpillar, Inc.as an Instrumentation Electrician and was a member of UAW Local 751 of Decatur. He was someone that people could always count on. Dennis was a true "jack of all trades"; he could work on and fix anything. He was an Amazing Dad and an outstanding, Jolly Grandpa.
Surviving are his sons: Anthony (Jamie Bacon) Fringer of Blue Mound and Cody Fringer of Assumption; daughter, Emily Fringer and fiancé Isaiah Deberry of Decatur; grandchildren: Dezsyl Fringer and Furie Fringer of Blue Mound, and Darren Deberry and Keystyn Deberry of Decatur; brothers: Morris (Lena) Fringer of Assumption and Bert (Joyce) Fringer of Sidney, IL; sister Donna Greenwood of Scottsdale, AZ and sister-in-law Gracie Fringer of Ozark, MO.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Max, brother-in-law Dale Greenwood and grandchild baby Fringer.
