Debra "Debbie" Sue Giles-Young, 65, of Assumption, died August 6th, 2023, peacefully at Decatur Memorial Hospital, with family at her bedside after a long battle with illness.

Graveside service will be 11:00am, Monday, August 14, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Assumption, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter, spay and neuter clinic, or animal rescue of your choice.

Debbie was a homemaker and retired nurse. She loved gardening and being in nature. She loved all animals and dogs were her favorite. She had a very strong faith and accepted Jesus Christ into her life and heart. She was adorned as Punkin by her great grandchildren and loved her family very much.

Surviving is her mother, Lena (Morris) Fringer; daughters: Dayna Donaldson, and Allene Young; sons: Michael (Wendy) Morgason, and Bobby Stinson; sisters: Cindy (Larry) Lavender, Brenda (Dennis) Sterenberg, and Carla (Frank) Beck; grandchildren: David (Emma) Jack, Alyie (Rit) Norman, Dalan (Bethany) Morgason, Geoffrey Oller, Talia Stinson, Jesse Morgason, Jazli Stinson, and Emma Morgason; great-grandchildren: Zoey, Serenity, Zion, and Ava; 7 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband, O.A. Young; son: Allen Young; father: William "Bill" Giles; and grandparents: Rev. C.E. (Beulah) Giles.
