Darien L. Rhodes, 51, of Macon, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2018.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in Salem Baptist Church, Decatur, IL.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, also in the church.  Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church.

Darien was born July 12, 1966 in Decatur, IL, the son of Lawrence E. and Imogene (Duez) Rhodes.  He married Kimberly (Shackelford) Rhodes May 30, 2009 in Decatur, IL.

Surviving are his wife; son, Dustin Rhodes of Decatur; step-daughters: Jennifer (Dylan) Wempen and Vanessa (Ernest) Baker; brother, Larry (Deanna) Rhodes of Decatur and sister, Debra (Fred) Carbonneau of Decatur.

Darien was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Decatur.  He loved music and sang with the gospel group "Forgiven 3".  He worked as a supervisor with Grain Systems Inc. in Assumption, IL.  Darien enjoyed fishing and fixing cars in his spare time. He could fix anything you put in front of him.
