Daniel L. Middleton, 77, of Assumption went peacefully in his home to be with the Lord, December 7, 2018.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Maranatha Assembly of God, Decatur, IL.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.  Memorials may be made to Maranatha Assembly of God.

Daniel was born in Moweaqua, IL September 22, 1941, the son of Clarence L. and Kanova (Jackson) Middleton. After his mother's death, Daniel was raised by his father and step-mother, Annetta. Daniel married Joyce Trudeau in Decatur, IL in 1959.  She preceded him in death. He later married Doris D. Aufrecht in Blue Mound, IL February 5, 1972.  She survives.

Daniel was a member of Marantha Assembly of God and formerly worked for A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company, Decatur, IL. He had a passion for music and sharing the word of God.

Surviving is his wife, Doris; sons: Daniel (Sondra) Middleton of Ft. Wayne, IN and Andrew (Jessica) Middleton of Charleston, SC; daughters: Kathleen (Phil) Barrish of Decatur, IL, Trina (Tim) Stemple of Cerro Gordo, IL and Jessica (Marvin) Bland of Pana, IL; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and brothers: Carl (Peggy) Middleton and Clarence (Sharon) Middleton, all of Decatur, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents; step-mother, Annetta; wife, Joyce; and sons: James and Ronald Middleton.
