Dale E. Sloan, 92, of Assumption, died July 1, 2019, in his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 in Seitz Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial with Military Rites will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Shriner Hospitals for Children or Central A&M FFA.

Dale was born February 19, 1927 in Obed, IL, the son of Charles and Beulah (Bridgeman) Sloan. He married Mary Joan Uffelman in Assumption, October 5, 1946. She preceded him in death August 3, 2016.

Dale was a member of Ansar Shrine Springfield Consistory, Bromwell Lodge #451, Assumption VFW #6577 and a United States Navy Veteran, serving during WWII. Dale was very proud of his country. He loved taking care of the Lazy S Timber, restoring his 1947 Willeys Jeep and enjoyed going to coffee with friends and eating out on Sundays with family.

Surviving are his daughters: Marilyn (Ken) Sloan-Couch of Roanoke, IL and Cinda Kistenfeger of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Heather Tarvin of Buford, GA, Courtney (Greg) Just of Assumption, IL, Cami Kistenfeger of Decatur, IL and Colby Kistenfeger of Assumption, IL; and great-grandchildren: Cora Tarvin, Caleb Just and Addison Just.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents, three brothers and five sisters.
