Obituary

Connie Sue Lanham, 74, of Moweaqua, died August 22, 2017, in her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017, also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or ALS Association.

Connie was born August 16, 1943 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Gale Clifton and Donna Marie (Miller) Campbell. She married Joseph Kendrick Lanham June 19, 1965 in Amarillo, TX. He survives.

Connie graduated in 1961 from Maryville High School, Maryville, MO. She attended Northwest Missouri State University for 2 years before entering St. Mary School of Radiology Technology in Quincy, IL. Connie received her Bachelor's Degree from College of St. Francis in 1985. She worked in the Radiology Department of St. Mary Hospital, Quincy, IL from 1969- 1972 and St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL from 1979 – 2012, in Radiology and Ultrasound.

Connie was a member of St. Mary's Auxiliary , serving as a volunteer after her 2012 retirement, American Legion Post #105 Auxiliary, serving as a volunteer for over 12 years, Society of Vascular Ultrasound, American Society of Radiologic Technologists, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Connie was a world traveler, lifelong Cub Fan and dearly loved attending all things that involved her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Joe "Kenny"; daughters: Laurie (Bryon) Coffman and Julie (Kurt) Schinzler, all of Moweaqua; Grandchildren: Lauren Chadick of Carbondale, IL, Nate Coffman, Luke Schinzler and Hannah Schinzler, all of Moweaqua; sister, Carol (Glenn) Hastings of Republic, MO, and many, many special nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, sister, Karen Knight and brother, Denny Mac Campbell.

Connie wanted to thank all of the wonderful people who have done so much for her over the years; Joni Zachary from Franklin Travel, her St. Mary's family, Legion friends, Tuesday Night Wine Group, loving friends & family, and the fantastic caregivers that gave her so much love and care.
