Chester B. "Chet" Hodge Jr., 79, of Chandler, AZ, passed away October 4, 2014 at the Hospice of the Valley, Lund House, Chandler, AZ.
Private graveside service will be Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in West Side Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Chet was born February 17, 1935, in Moweaqua the son of Chester B. and Jean (Stine) Hodge Sr. He married Margaret (Titus) December 27, 1959 in Moweaqua. She survives.
Chet attended Moweaqua High School and was a graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology (originally known as Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy Rolla). He served in the United States Navy from 1955-59 aboard the USS Boyd as a 1st Class Petty Officer.
Chet had been a Reliability Electrical Engineer for 50 years in both the aerospace/defense industry, as well as, in the telecommunications industry and his job was always a great passion of his. Chet's career moved him and his family around the United States thus they resided in Illinois, Mississippi, Minnesota, Ohio and eventually Arizona. Chet belonged to the Springfield, Illinois Chapter of the National Society of Sons of the American Revolution. He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes and was very active in local radio control model clubs in his spare time.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years Margaret; daughter, Teresa Hodge (Patrick Smith); son, Thomas (Kristan) Hodge; sister, Audrey Carol Reatherford Carnegie; brother, R. Garey Hodge; nephew and nieces: Brett Reatherford, Sherry (Reatherford) Drake, Elisa (Hodge) Dowd and granddaughter Elizabeth Hodge Smith.
Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Robert S. Hodge
