Charles E. "Chuck" Foley, 67, of Moweaqua died June 23, 2014 in his home.
Services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 27, 2014, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Masonic services will be 8:00 pm Thursday.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.
Full Military Honors by Macon County Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Chuck was born February 8, 1947 in Decatur, IL the son of Raymond and Margaret (Fugitt) Foley. He was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua, Masonic Lodge #180 of Moweaqua, Springfield Consistory and Ansar Shrine of Springfield, American Legion #370 of Moweaqua and Past President of Decatur Shrine Club. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1965 and served in the United Stated Navy. Chuck was a retired trainmaster for Norfolk Southern Railroad, an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Chuck took great pleasure in working for the children at Shriners Hospital.
Surviving are his wife Linda, daughters; Janice (Eric) Vail, Patricia (Chris) Lisaka; son Robert (Tammy) Foley; step-daughters Kassandra White and Debbie (Kevin) Wiseman; step-sons Michael (Andrea) Betzer and Danny Maxheimer; 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Julie (Bill) McKinney and Donna (Bob) Fair; brothers Michael (Doreen) Foley and Richard (Lynn) Foley; sister-in-laws Nina Minton and Juanita (Larry) Dietz and brother-in-law Richard (Evelyn) Taylor and many special nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, granddaughter Amber Vallandingham, Sue Foley and niece Brandy Foley.
The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to "adopted brother" Dr. Mario Velasco, Dr. Yoon, all of the wonderful nurses & staff at Cancer Care of Decatur and the staff from DMH fifth floor. Chuck never met a stranger.
