Carolyn Mae Bush, 73, born in Taylorville, IL, died Sunday, September 16, 2018, in Clarksville, TN.

Carolyn was born August  11, 1945 in Christian County, the daughter of Alfred Thurn Bilyeu and Clara Mae (Christenberry) Bilyeu.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Orin Aupperle, who passed Sept. 16, 1965.  She married Thurman Andrew Bush May 4, 2006 in Clarksville, TN.  He survives.

Carolyn, known as Mimi to her nine grandchildren, was very active in her grandchildren's lives.  Carolyn was a devout Christian and enjoyed singing in the choir.  She was a graduate of Stonington High School near Taylorville.  She settled in Tennessee in 1979, where she worked with children for many years and was loved by all.  She was a member of DAR.

Surviving are her loving husband, Thurman Andrew Bush; daughter: Tamera (Ray) Hall of Clarksville, TN; sons: Kevin (Amanda) Swinger and Eric (Vicki) Swinger of Hendersonville, TN; nine grandchildren: Braden McClean, Denver Hall, Marlee McClean, Lia Hall, Isaac Swinger, Zane Swinger, Chaz Swinger, Elizabeth Swinger, and Roman Swinger; brothers: Jim Bilyeu of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Mark Bilyeu of Assumption, IL.

Preceding her in death are her father, Alfred Bilyeu, and her husband, William Aupperle.

There will be a brief graveside service officiated by Pastor David Beerbower for family and friends at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 22 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.
