Carol J. Giles, 82, of Assumption, died on October 23, 2024, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Mt. Pleasant Church of God Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be made to the Assumption Fire and Ambulance Service.

Carol was born on December 27, 1941, in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Kermit and Gertrude (Walker) Stokes. She married Lyle Giles on February 5, 1960, in Assumption, IL. He survives.

Surviving are her husband, Lyle; son Bob (Nikki) Giles of Chebanse, IL; daughter Lori Giles of Normal, IL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, five brothers, and a sister.
