Carl E. Galvin, 85, of Assumption, IL died October 13, 2016 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016, also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Carl was born November 26, 1930 in Assumption, IL, the son of Raymond and Bessie (Jordan) Galvin. He married Geraldine Julius, May 19, 1966 in Shelbyville, IL. She preceded him in death December 19, 1994.

Carl was a member of Assumption Christian Church and formerly worked as an Adjuster for Caterpillar, Inc.

Surviving are his daughters: Carla (Sean) Derrick of Glen Carbon, IL, Denise Kuntzman of Assumption, IL and Debbie (Wayne) Woolen of Sullivan, IL; sons: Carl Gene Galvin of Danville, IL, Terry (Jennifer) Galvin of Cornland, IL and David (Sandy) Galvin of Lincoln, IL; grandchildren: Heather (Nathan) Lindahl of Assumption, IL and Adam Kuntzman of Assumption, IL; great-granddaughter, Maddilyn Lindahl; sister, Mary Lou (Verlyn) Woodard of Lovington, IL; niece, Susie Burgess of Assumption, IL, as well as, many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents, one brother and two sisters.
