Brenda Lea Tipsword, 74, of Paris, IL, died February 18, 2025 in Casey Rehab and Nursing, Casey, IL.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, IL.  A memorial dinner, for friends and family, will immediately follow at Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua.  Memorials for Brenda Tipsword may be made to Seitz Funeral Home, 118 E. Brenda was born on April 20, 1950, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Leslie Ray and Christine (Dowd) Tankersley.

Brenda was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Nokomis, IL.  She loved the Lord dearly and enjoyed crocheting.  Brenda formerly worked at the Eastern Star Home in Macon, IL, where her kindness and compassion for the residents was apparent, and most recently worked at International Paper in Shelbyville, IL for many years.  One of Brenda's favorite memories was teaching her cousin Brian how to drive a stick shift.

Surviving are her children: son, Michael (Jamie) Cookson of Moweaqua, IL; daughters: Kimberly Wood of Marshall, IL and Crystal (James) Newberry of Palm Bay, FL; grandkids: Katie, Brody, Maicie, Linkin, and Tristan; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Loretta (Ronnie) Krouse of Taylorville, IL.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sons: David Warren and Terry Wayne; brother, Leslie Ray; and sister, Becky.
