Bessie M. Thompson, 94, of Moweaqua died January 1, 2017 in Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.

Funeral services will be10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Decatur, IL.

Bessie was born November 25, 1922 in Fairfield, IL the daughter of William and Ethel (Sons) Mauck. She married Glenn E. Thompson February 13, 1944 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death July 26, 2013.

Bessie was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur.

Surviving are her daughters Linda (Jim) Hall of Katy, TX and Vicki (Randy) Meyer of Macon, IL; grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) Hall of Houston, TX, Jeremy (Jeanae) Hall of Katy, TX, Travis (Libby) Hall of Houston, TX, Kate (Clint) Schlosser of Macon, IL and Kelsey (Vince) Cambruzzi of Taylorville, IL; great-grandchildren: Kaytlin, Brooke, Jadon, Jordyn, Layla, Ashton and Joanna; and sister, Ruth Turner of Peoria, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, two brothers and four sisters.
