Amber Daphne Collier, 102, of Moweaqua passed away peacefully at 12:48 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
A service to celebrate Daphne's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with Pastor Chad Buhman officiating.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua.
Daphne was born November 11, 1911 in Dyer, AR the daughter of Dix and Minnie Lou (Carnes) Waters. She married Earl Frederick Collier October 9, 1931 in Anadarko, OK. He preceded her in death May 30, 1965.
Daphne was a woman of strong faith and loved her church family. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua for over 60 years. Daphne traveled to many places in the world over the years, including a trip to the Holy Land in 1978.
Daphne is survived by her children: Doris Glenn of Springdale, AR, Donis Graven of Evans, GA and Carolyn (Chuck) Reish of Moweaqua; grandchildren: Michael Glenn, Susan Foster, Amy Paull, Charles Reish and Lisa Hawkins; 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, son-in-laws, Eugene Glenn and Dr. Richard Graven, and grandsons, Richard Graven and Jeffery Graven.
The family would like to thank the Moweaqua Nursing Center for their care of our mother, and St. Mary's Hospital, especially Donna and Joe who were with us in her last moments.
