Alvin LeRoy Burke, 75, of Shelbyville, IL, died October 28, 2021, in Heritage Health, Pana, IL.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, IL.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021, also in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to donor's choice.

Leroy was born on November 8, 1945, in Moweaqua, IL, the son of Harley Clark and Myrtle (Smith) Burke.  He formerly worked for International Paper in Shelbyville and was a hard worker that loved to "tinker".  LeRoy was always ready to help anyone and had a great sense of humor.

Surviving are his sons, Greg Burke of Nashville, TN and Shawn Rountree of Whitehouse, TN; daughter, Mina (Eric) Anderson of Poquoson, VA; two grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Mary) Burke of Mt. Auburn, IL; and sister, Ruth Johnson of Nokomis, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Craig; brothers: Robert and Dale; and sister, Shirley.
